Abu Dhabi Airport is situated 32km (20 miles) east of Abu Dhabi. The airport is an important hub for flights with Gulf Air and Etihad Airways. The Airport opened a Terminal 2 in August 2005 to handle the increase in flights. It is complete with baggage handling system with online security screening, Flight Information Display System, security surveillance and access control, 1000 square metres of duty free and cafeterias and business class lounge.Taxis operates a fixed-rate service to the city centre.
