Originally known as Hurn Airport, Bournemouth International Airport offers customers a real alternative from flights from the main London Airports. Larnaca International Airport is Cyprus’s main international airport. Originally the British Armed Forces used the airport. It has two large terminals and a larger building at the rear for arrivals, which was expanded in February 2006. Cyprus is a major tourist destination and sees around 5 million people a year pass through the airport, but as the airport wasn’t designed for the capacity it is being further developed which should be finished by 2009.
